Seniors Forum, every Oct 1st, 2pm at Pat Porter
If you're Gen Z Youth or 30+ , this municipal election is about more than the next four years. It's about the community you'll be living, working, raising a family, or building a business in for decades to come.
Please remember to vote on October 17 (Advance Voting) or October 28 (Election Day). Your generation has more influence than many people realize—but only if you use your voice.
Steinbach is one of Manitoba's fastest-growing communities. Over the next 15 to 20 years, our population could grow dramatically. The decisions we make today about local jobs, housing, infrastructure, recreation, transportation, and economic development will shape the opportunities available to your generation.
Communities like Steinbach, Winkler, Morden, and Niverville all compete to attract new businesses, investment, skilled workers, and families. We cannot assume opportunities will simply come to us. We need thoughtful planning, responsible growth, and leaders who are prepared to keep Steinbach competitive while protecting the community we love.
Too often, young people are only asked for their vote every four years. I believe you should also be asked for your ideas.
Whether you're a student at SRSS, an apprentice, tradesperson, entrepreneur, artist, athlete, musician, photographer, healthcare worker, creator, or simply someone who wants to build a future in Steinbach, I'd genuinely like to hear from you.
Good local jobs create opportunity.
They help young people buy their first home, start a family, launch a business, support local organizations, and build a future close to the people they care about.
Steinbach has always been built by hardworking people, local businesses, volunteers, and entrepreneurs. As our city continues to grow, I want to support sustainable growth that encourages investment, innovation, skilled trades, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, technology, and new business opportunities—while preserving the values that make Steinbach special.
I don't want young people to feel they have to leave our community to find opportunity. I want Steinbach to become an even better place to build a career, start a business, and raise a family.
There are no perfect ideas.
Some of the best ideas come from people who simply see things differently.
I'd love to know what GEN Z Future means to you.
You can submit:
🎨 Artwork or drawings 📸 Photography 🎥 Short videos 🎤 Voice recordings ✍️ Written ideas 💼 Business or startup concepts 💡 Technology or innovation ideas 🌳 Community improvement suggestions 🚲 Recreation, sports, or youth ideas Or anything else that could help build a stronger Steinbach.
I will personally read every respectful submission.
Selected ideas and creative submissions may be featured on this page, shared on social media, or discussed during community conversations to encourage more young people to get involved.
If elected, I intend to keep this page active beyond the election. Great ideas shouldn't disappear after voting day.
When appropriate, I will bring practical community suggestions forward for discussion and consideration at Council, or share them with the appropriate organizations or community partners. While I can't promise every idea can be implemented, I can promise they will be heard and considered.
My campaign has always been about Full-Time EFFORT for Steinbach's Future.
Listening is just as important as speaking.
This page is my commitment to continue listening to younger residents—not just during this campaign, but well into the future.
Whether I earn your vote or not, I hope this page encourages more young people to become involved in shaping our community.
The future of Steinbach will belong to your generation. I hope you'll help shape it.
Imagine Steinbach in 2035.
